Shaukat Tareen’s appeal against NAB to withdraw

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) senator and former federal finance minister Shaukat Tareen has filed an appeal in the Supreme Court to withdraw the petition against the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).

The PTI senator has filed an appeal in the Supreme Court in the matter of NAB reference against Shaukat Tareen.

The former finance minister took a stand in the appeal that in 2014, NAB filed a reference against me for causing damage to the national treasury.

He said that on June 30, 2020, the accountability court has ordered acquittal in the reference.

Shaukat Tareen took a stand that after being acquitted in the reference, he withdraws the petition from the Supreme Court.

A 2-member bench headed by the Chief Justice of Pakistan will hear the case tomorrow.
