Victory in the third Test, Australia has a 3-0 lead

In the third Test match of the Ashes series, Australia defeated England by an innings and 14 runs.

Hosts Australia have taken an unbeaten 0-3 lead in a five-Test series after winning the third Test.

England had scored 185 runs in the first innings, in response to which Australia scored 267 runs while the England team was bowled out for only 68 runs in the second innings and thus could not complete the deficit of 82 runs in the first innings.

In the second innings, the captain of the English team Joe Root remained prominent by scoring 28 runs while 4 of his players were dismissed for zero.

Fast bowler Scott Boland, who made his Test debut for Australia, took 6 wickets for 7 runs in 4 overs while Mitchell Starc took 3 wickets.

Scott Boland was declared the man of the match for taking a total of 8 wickets in the match.

It should be noted that in the first Test match of the Ashes series, Australia had defeated the visiting team England by 9 wickets while the second test match was won by 275 runs.
