Muhammad Yusuf’s record could not be broken

Former national cricket team player Muhammad Yousuf’s 15-year record could not be broken.

Former Pakistan cricket team batsman Muhammad Yousuf holds the world record for most Test runs scored in a calendar year.

Muhammad Yousuf had scored 1788 runs in 19 innings of 11 matches in 2006 including 9 centuries and 3 half centuries while the highest score was 202 runs in an innings.

The captain of the English cricket team, Joe Root, who scored 1708 runs in a calendar year, needed 81 runs to set this world record.

In the second innings of the third Test match between England and Australia, the captain of the English cricket team had to score 109 runs but he returned to the pavilion after scoring only 28 runs.
