Wajiha Swati murder case: Extension of physical remand of accused

In the murder case of Pakistani-American Wajiha Swati, the court extended the physical remand of the main accused Rizwan Habib for three days.

The court also remanded the accused’s father and employee in police custody for three days.

Police are investigating the murder of Wajih Swati and in this regard, the police said that the vehicle used in transporting the murder weapon and body to Hangu should be recovered from the accused.

Police further said that they are also investigating the accused who facilitated the transfer of the body to Hangu.

It should be noted that Rizwan Habib, the ex-husband of the victim arrested in the murder case of Pakistani-American Wajiha Swati in Rawalpindi, has made further revelations while confessing to the crime during interrogation.

Accused Rizwan Habib said that he had planned to go to Poland to seek asylum and citizenship, he had obtained a passport.

During the interrogation before the police, accused Rizwan Habib revealed that his father had said that it would cost only Rs 50,000 to kill Wajiha.

Accused Rizwan Habib said in a statement that Wajiha was killed with a sharp instrument, the body was hidden in the trunk of a car and skillfully taken to the house of a close relative in Hangu.

According to sources, Rizwan, the ex-husband of the victim, confessed to the property dispute with the victim.

The accused told the police that Wajiha wanted DHA Rawalpindi’s house to be named after her.

CPO Rawalpindi says that Rizwan, the ex-husband of the slain Wajiha, received Wajiha from the airport on October 16, took her with him and killed her, burying her body at the employee’s house.
