Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) senior leader and former federal minister Umar Ayub rejected the press conference of Energy Minister Khurram Dastgir.
In a statement issued from Islamabad, Umar Ayub said that he rejects the press conference of the Federal Minister of Energy, yesterday’s electricity blackout was due to sheer negligence.
He added that while the imported government wanted to save fuel, they had insufficient online plants to manage the increased load.
The former federal minister also said that we have increased the transmission capacity from 17 thousand megawatts to more than 27 thousand megawatts.
He said that such problems could have been avoided if the imported government had worked on governance.
