Finland’s foreign minister has said that it will take a few weeks to negotiate with Turkey on Finland and Sweden’s request to join the NATO alliance.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has bluntly said that Sweden will not get Turkey’s support to join NATO.
Finland’s foreign minister has said in an interview to the news agency that after the current situation, when the dust settles, we will see where we are, no conclusions should be drawn for now.
It should be noted that Turkish President Erdogan has indicated that he does not support Sweden, Sweden and Finland applied to join the NATO alliance last year.
Turkish President Erdogan has announced to hold presidential and parliamentary elections in the country on May 14.
