The verdict of Naqeebullah’s murder case on January 14 in Karachi’s Anti-Terrorism Jail Complex is expected today.

In the case, the decision has been reserved after the arguments of the lawyers of the plaintiff case and the lawyers of the accused.

The decision of the Naqeebullah murder case in the jail complex is expected today, former SSP Malir Rao Anwar and other accused have reached the court.

Security has been tightened in the court due to the expected verdict in the Naqeebullah murder case.

In this regard, the Anti-Terrorism Court says that the verdict of the Naqibullah murder case will be pronounced today at 2:30 PM.

Rao Anwar and other accused were charged on March 25, 2019. The accused denied the crime. There were 60 witnesses against the accused in the case.

On January 13, 2018, former SSP Malir Rao Anwar killed Naqeebullah along with 3 other people as terrorists in Shah Latif Town of Malir.

Later, the 27-year-old Naqeebullah’s social media account became popular due to his pictures and artistic engagements, and the Pakistani media also picked him up.

Pakistan People’s Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari raised his voice on this matter and ordered an inquiry to the Interior Minister of Sindh.

Rao Anwar was removed from office and his name included in the ECL after the inquiry committee’s initial report recommended suspension, while the Chief Justice of Pakistan took suo motu notice on the matter. A hearing was also held.

Rao Anwar surrendered himself in the Supreme Court of Pakistan after which he was transferred to Karachi.
