Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has banned the sale and transfer of handguns in the country.

According to a statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office, these are the toughest measures taken in Canada in the past 40 years regarding gun control.

Citizens will no longer be able to buy and sell handguns in Canada, and newly purchased guns and pistols will not be able to bring into the country.

The Prime Minister’s Office says handgun applications received before Friday will be processed.

It should be noted that Canada’s gun laws are stricter than America’s.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s gun control law is being opposed in Alberta, a Canadian state.

Alberta Justice Minister Tyler Shandro said that the federal government wants to achieve its political goals by punishing citizens who own guns, while supporters of the central government want to completely eliminate legal gun ownership in the country.
