It has been revealed that the power division officials are unaware of the increase in electricity price.
When the Standing Committee on Power inquired about the price hike, the Power Division officials appeared to be clueless.
Additional Secretary Power told the committee that the matter with the IMF has to be finalized by the Ministry of Finance, we have not yet shared the details regarding the electricity tariff.
He also told the Standing Committee on Power that how much the price of electricity has to increase, the details will come only then.
The standing committee asked for the details of the increase in electricity prices.
The members of the committee directed that all the details should be presented to the committee in the next meeting.
