A team of Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) has been attacked by terrorists in North Waziristan, 7 suspects were killed during the encounter.
According to the sources of CTD, the terrorists attacked the squad that was transporting the accused from Miran Shah.
According to the counter-terrorism department, 4 terrorists of the banned organization were also killed in the exchange of fire.
CTD has said that the incident took place last night at Mir Ali Bypass, some accomplices of the terrorists escaped in the dark of night.
The Counter-Terrorism Department says that the dead terrorists were involved in grenade attacks and target killings on forces and police.
According to CTD, 4 short machine guns, cartridges and other items have been recovered from the possession of the slain terrorists.
The Counter-Terrorism Department has said that the terrorists wanted to free their comrades, the dead terrorists were involved in the grenade attack on the Cantt police station and the target killing of Constable Iftikhar.
CTD has also informed that a heavy contingent of security forces and police has started a search operation in the area to arrest the absconding accused.
