Federal Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah visited the under construction Daya Murbhasha Dam, he reviewed the security at the project site.
The Home Minister inspected the construction work and security arrangements at the project site, on which the officials briefed him on security matters.
Rana Sanaullah said during the briefing that Dia Murbhasha Dam is an important project for national development.
He said that implementation of a comprehensive and integrated security plan in the project area is essential.
The Home Minister further said that the completion of Daya Murbhasha Dam is scheduled in 2029.
Rana Sanaullah was informed in the briefing that the water storage capacity of Diamer Bhasha Dam will be 8.1 million acre feet.
In the briefing, the Home Minister was told that the power generation capacity of Diamer Bhasha Dam is 4,500 MW.
