The inauguration ceremony was organized to celebrate the Golden Jubilee of the 1973 Constitution at the Democracy Wall of the Parliament House Lawn.
Chairman of People’s Party and Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari participated in this event in Islamabad.
During the ceremony, special prayers were offered for the known and unsung heroes who made sacrifices for democracy and great tributes were paid to them.
On this occasion, special prayers were also offered for Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Benazir Bhutto, while Bilawal Bhutto Zardari placed flowers at the memorial.
Addressing the ceremony, People’s Party Senator Raza Rabbani said that the celebrations on the completion of 50 years of the Constitution of Pakistan are being started with the memory of the martyrs of democracy.
He said that this monumental democracy was developed during the era of People’s Party, the previous government tried to destroy it.
The PP senator added that such a ceremony was held at this place after many years, it is hoped that the coming speakers will continue this tradition.
He said that the message should be given today that the attempt to tamper with the system of the constitution will be dangerous.
Raza Rabbani also said that the previous government turned this area into a prohibited area, we should play our role according to the constitution.
He said that if there is an attempt to tamper with the constitution of Pakistan, dark clouds will hover over the country, today the improvement of the conditions of the country is also possible only through the constitution. The government should also take the path of full implementation of the constitution so that the country can be taken forward.
