An important meeting has taken place between former Defense Minister and senior leader of Tehreek-e-Insaf Pervez Khattak and former Chief Minister of Punjab Chaudhry Pervez Elahi.
In the meeting held in Lahore, the political situation of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the elections were discussed.
During the conversation, Chaudhry Pervez Elahi said that there is no justification for delaying the election date after the court decision, the judiciary stands with the supremacy of the constitution, violation of the constitution will not be tolerated.
He further said that the Election Commission should fulfill its responsibility and release the schedule immediately, the Governor and the Election Commission should stop playing football on the issue of history.
The former Chief Minister Punjab also said that the nation is seeing how Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) is afraid of elections, no one will be allowed to violate the constitution.
Pervez Khattak said that the popularity of Imran Khan has made the rulers sleepless. It is the constitutional responsibility of the Election Commission and the governors of the two provinces to schedule the elections.
He said that the court decision has come, now no attempt to run away from the election will succeed. Retaliation and lawsuits cannot stop the path of Tehreek-e-Insaf.
