Bahadurabad police arrested two suspects of the gang who robbed the passengers from the airport in injured condition after the encounter.
Two pistols, 4 stolen mobile phones and a motorcycle have been recovered from the possession of the accused.
According to SSP East Zubair Nazir Sheikh, the police party on patrol signaled the 2 motorcycle-riding accused to stop near Sadabahar Shadi Hal Kokan Park on Hyder Ali Road. Instead of stopping, the accused tried to escape by firing.
According to the police, the accused Harin son of David and Renee son of Matthew were injured in the retaliatory firing and they were arrested.
Illegal weapons, two pistols with rounds, 4 mobile phones and a motorcycle were recovered from the possession of the arrested accused.
The injured accused were shifted to the hospital for medical assistance while the verification of the recovered motorcycle is being done.
The weapons recovered from the accused are being sent for forensics, the accused have revealed their involvement in various incidents during the initial investigation.
The accused have also been robbing passengers on the way to the airport. His previous record is being checked, further investigation is also underway.
