Murree tragedy case: NDMA officials summoned today

The Islamabad High Court today summoned the NDMA officials during the hearing of the petition filed for investigation into the Murree tragedy and action against those responsible.
Islamabad High Court Chief Justice Athar Minallah heard the petition.
Hamad Abbasi, a resident of Murree, has filed the petition through Danish Ishraq Abbasi Advocate.
Danish Ishraq Abbasi, counsel for petitioner Hamad Abbasi, said that the petition was filed in the public interest. What
Chief Justice Athar Minallah said that tourists die like this every year.
The court summoned Deputy Attorney General Syed Tayyab Shah to the rostrum and directed him to read the laws pertaining to NDMA.
The court asked the Deputy Attorney General to explain why there was no management plan for the district. There are all concerned people in such a big body, there is also opposition, has there ever been a meeting of such a big body?
Deputy Attorney General Syed Tayyab Shah told the court that he could only inform the court by taking instructions in this regard.
Chief Justice Athar Minallah asked if there has ever been a meeting of NDMA in this regard. There should have been a formal management plan in this regard. If there was no meeting of the commission then why it was not held.
