Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that stockpiling of fertilizers could adversely affect the Rabi crop.
A review meeting on supply and demand of fertilizer was held in Islamabad under the chairmanship of the Prime Minister.
Speaking during the meeting, Imran Khan said that stockpiling of fertilizers could adversely affect Rabi’s grace.
He directed that the supply of fertilizer to the farmers should be ensured and no concession should be made to the profiteers and hoarders.
The Prime Minister further said that the farmer is the backbone of Pakistan’s economy and for the first time in the history of the country the government has introduced farmer friendly policies.
He said that no concession should be made against profiteers and hoarders, there was no shortage of essential commodities in the country.
On the occasion, Imran Khan also directed to launch a public awareness campaign to eradicate rumors of urea shortage.
