The Special Court Central rejected the report of the FIA acquitting Shehbaz Sharif’s son Sulaiman Shahbaz in the money laundering case.
Special Court Central Judge Bakht Fakhr Behzad heard the money laundering case against Sulaiman Shahbaz.
Judge Bakht Fakhr Behzad said in the judgment that he is deliberately avoiding writing the names of Shehbaz Sharif and Hamza Shehbaz because the judges before them have acquitted them.
In his interim order, the judge said that he was surprised that the investigating officer made a report against Sulaiman Shahbaz and Tahir Naqvi without seeing the material to declare them innocent.
The court is not bound to implement the report declaring the accused innocent, apparently there is material against Sulaiman Shahbaz and Tahir Naqvi, so they can be summoned as accused.
The court summoned Sulaiman Shahbaz and Tahir Naqvi on March 4 and directed them to submit a surety bond of 50,000.
The court stated that the statements of the witnesses support the allegations of the prosecution.
Earlier, Sulaiman Shehbaz and other accused appeared in the court and FIA submitted its report.
Sulaiman Shehbaz’s lawyer asked for 2 weeks’ time to review the report, on which the court adjourned the hearing till March 4.
