MQM-Pakistan postponed the February 12 sit-in at Karachi Fountain Chowk against the local body elections until the end of the naval peace exercise.

Governor Sindh Kamran Tesori met the leadership of MM Pakistan in Bahadurabad Karachi.

Speaking to the media, Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui said that the governor of Sindh brought an important message from the federation to him and requested to postpone the dharna on February 12 in view of the Pakistan Navy exercises, MQM recognized this in the national interest. What else has the sit-in been postponed? A new sit-in date will be announced at the end of the peace exercise.

Sindh Governor Kamran Tesuri said that he has discussed the demands of MQM with Chairman People’s Party Bilawal Bhutto Zaradri and Sindh Chief Minister. On Saturday night, Khalid will send Maqbool Siddiqui.

Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui said that the decision to hold a sit-in was taken under duress, considering the non-serious behavior of the People’s Party.
