In the case of defamation against Federal Minister of Defense Khawaja Asif, Chairman PTI Imran Khan appeared in the court through video link.
A defamation case was heard against Khawaja Asif on behalf of Imran Khan in the Islamabad District and Sessions Court.
Lawyer Ali Shah Geelani started cross-examining Imran Khan.
Imran Khan says that it is true that the investment of 3 million dollars was made in 2008, the invested money was returned to Shaukat Khanum in 2015.
He said that the amount of 3 million dollars remained with HBG Group for 7 years, whose chief executive is Imtiaz Hydari.
The former prime minister says that Imtiaz Hydari was included in the committee that approved the investment of 3 million dollars, the investment of 3 million dollars was not approved by Imtiaz Hydari for personal gain.
The PTI Chairman said that there was talk about this investment in the board meetings, when the notice was sent to Khawaja Asif, the investment money was not returned till then, Imtiaz Hydari was a donor of Shaukat Khanum Hospital for 16 years.
Imran Khan says that I don’t know whether Imtiaz Hydari was a donor of PTI or not, many overseas Pakistanis donate for Shaukat Khanum Hospital.
He said that I did not mislead the court regarding the role of Imtiaz Haidari, I do not remember who is Sheikh Saleem Al-Mashani.
