Constituencies in Sindh were done by the provincial government, MQM, instead of the Election Commission


The Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) has alleged that the constituencies in Sindh were done by the PPP provincial government instead of the Election Commission.

A meeting of the coordination committee was held under the chairmanship of MQM Pakistan chief Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, in which it was said that the People’s Party had promised to prepare as per Article 140A of the Sindh Local Government Act.

In its statement, the MQM Liaison Committee alleged that the constituencies in Sindh were done by the provincial government instead of the Election Commission, this move is against the decision of the Supreme Court.

The Liaison Committee added that MQM has always worked to bridge the gap between urban and rural areas.

The MQM Liaison Committee appealed that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif should play his role in this critical situation and resolve the loss of life and property caused by the recent rains and floods.
