Pakistan Navy Commander Pakistan Fleet Vice Admiral Owais Ahmad Bilgrami has said that the purpose of naval exercise “Pakistan Exercise 2023” is to tell the world that we are united for peace and Pakistan Navy is the guarantor of maritime security in the region.
The 8th multinational naval exercise “Peace Exercise 2023” will be attended by forces from 50 countries, observers for naval assets and special forces.
Commander Pakistan Fleet Vice Admiral Owais Ahmad Bilgrami while giving a briefing on the occasion of the 8th Multinational Peace Exercise 2023 under the Pakistan Navy, added that naval forces of about 50 countries are participating in it.
The Peace Exercise will be held from February 10 to 14 in Karachi Harbor and Sea Phases. Commander Pakistan Fleet said that several countries are participating in the exercise with their modern naval assets.
Vice Admiral Awais Ahmed Bilgrami said that joint maritime security is of utmost importance to ensure peace and stability in the region. He said that Pakistan has an effective and balanced naval force and is moving towards defense self-reliance with technology.
Piracy, terrorism, air defense and protection of climate change and maritime trade corridors are the main points of Peace Exercise 2023. Along with the exercise, the first Maritime Expo and Conference will highlight coastal nations, marine resources, shipbreaking and other industrial opportunities.
