Big score for West Indies, first Test draw after Zimbabwe fight back

After a big score by West Indies, the first Test match was drawn due to a strong fight back by Zimbabwe.

Chasing a target of 272 runs on the last day of the first Test match of the series played in Bulawayo, the Zimbabwean team scored 134 runs for 6 wickets.

West Indies declared the first innings 447 runs with 6 out.

In reply, Zimbabwe declared their first innings 379 runs for 9 out and tried to make the match fruitful.

West Indies adopted a defensive strategy and declared the innings on 203 runs with 5 out a few minutes before the tea break.

During the last session, the Zimbabwean batsmen faced the West Indian bowling line and scored 134 runs for the loss of 6 wickets.

The second match of the series will be played in Bulawayo from February 12.
