Inspector General (IG) Punjab Police Dr. Usman Anwar has ordered a crackdown in view of the artificial shortage of petrol.
Dr. Usman Anwar took notice of the artificial shortage of petrol and ordered a crackdown on stockpiling agencies and depots.
IG Punjab Usman Anwar further directed that indiscriminate action should be taken against those creating artificial scarcity of petrol.
He said that RPOs and DPOs should ensure operations under personal supervision, those creating artificial scarcity of petrol do not deserve any concession.
IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar also said that a policy of zero tolerance should be adopted against the profit-seeking owners.
