Bollywood’s leading actor Ranveer Singh has revealed that he had stopped dreaming of becoming an actor even though he wanted to.

Talking about nepotism in a recent interview, Ranveer Singh said, ‘When I was in class 10, I wanted to be an actor’.

He said that ‘I thought it was very difficult for me to become an actor because there were very few new entrants in the Indian film industry who did not already have relatives in the industry’.

He further said that ‘at that time Shah Rukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan and Akshay Kumar were the only examples of those three people who had no relatives in the Indian film industry’.

Ranveer Singh said, ‘So when I looked around and saw that all the new people coming into the industry somehow already had connections in the industry like somebody’s father was a big superstar, somebody Father was a producer or director’.

He said that ‘seeing this situation, I had stopped dreaming of becoming an actor’.
