The central bank (State Bank of Pakistan) says that the debt to the government of Pakistan has reached 50 thousand 503 billion rupees.

According to the statement of the State Bank of Pakistan, the debt of the government increased by 27% between July 2021 and July 2022.

The local debt of the government is 31 thousand billion rupees, while the local debt of the government has increased by 16% in the last 1 year.

According to the statement of the State Bank of Pakistan, the external debt of the government is 19 thousand billion rupees, while the external debt has increased by 49% in the last 1 year.

On the other hand, Pakistan has recently signed an agreement with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) worth 1 billion 17 million dollars, the first installment of which has been received.
