Islamabad High Court Chief Justice Athar Minullah has remarked during a hearing that the Prime Minister will be held responsible if the missing persons are not recovered.

Chief Justice Athar Minullah heard the case against the arrest of PTI leader Shireen Mazari in the Islamabad High Court during which Attorney General Ashraf Usaf appeared before the court.

The Islamabad High Court directed the Attorney General to take appropriate steps in the case against the arrest of PTI leader Shireen Mazari.

“If the missing persons are not recovered, the Prime Minister will be held accountable.”

Chief Justice Athar Minullah remarked that Mr. Attorney General! The case of missing persons is also scheduled on September 9, it is hoped that the missing persons will be recovered before September 9, otherwise the Prime Minister will be held accountable.

Chief Justice Islamabad High Court said that the court does not want the matter to reach there, this court kept sending the cases to the federal cabinet but they do nothing, people are not safe in the federal capital, this court believes in the division of powers. It does not interfere in the affairs of the executive.

“Can the Civil Chief Executive say he is powerless?”

Chief Justice Athar Minullah remarked that can any civil chief executive say that he is helpless? This court will not do the investigation, nor is it the job of this court, the investigation is the job of the executive and they have to do it. You say that you yourself have been affected, so your government should do more. Create TORs so that in future no one can say that he was picked up or tortured, create a commission consisting of whistleblowers. Come, let no one come and say that he was illegally picked up or tortured.

“Disease is the abuse of power.”

He said that the disease is that the person sitting in power indulges in the misuse of power, the disease is that what is bad said in the opposition is done by coming to the government, he said in the PTM case that now the coup Don’t make a case, Attorney General! That has also become the case.

The Islamabad High Court directed the Attorney General to take appropriate steps and said that on the next hearing, tell the court that they are making a commission or what they are doing. Also issue a written order on this, also tell in the next hearing what to do to end violence and illegal measures.

The High Court adjourned the hearing of the case for 2 weeks.
