Minister of State for Finance Ayesha Ghos Pasha says that there is no risk of default for Pakistan, when the government took over, there was a risk of default.
Talking to the media in Islamabad, Ayesha Ghos Pasha said that the online dialogue between Pakistan and the IMF is going on.
He said that the IMF wants to complete the program, Pakistan will get the next installment when the IMF board approves.
He said that talks are ongoing with other institutions including the World Bank, ADB.
The Minister of State said that the payment of loans to friendly countries is being rolled over, arrangements are being made for the payment of other loans.
He further said that 16 billion dollars are required for flood recovery and reconstruction, reconstruction will take several years.
