Islamabad: Private malls were de-sealed after negotiations between district administration and traders

Private malls in Islamabad were de-sealed after negotiations between the district administration and traders.

The Capital Development Authority (CDA) and the district administration had slammed the mall for allegedly not ensuring safety measures.

CDA and Islamabad administration sealed the private property late at night for not ensuring safety measures.

The guards and the mall management were taken out and the police were deployed after barbed wire was installed on all sides.

Traders and employees protested throughout the day after which the district administration de-sealed the mall.

The district administration pasted an order from the CDA Building Control Department at the entrance of the mall for non-completion of safety measures and non-completion of fire damage.

Traders and mall employees took out a protest march towards Parliament on Jinnah Avenue as a protest, after which the mall was de-sealed after negotiations with district administration officials.
