Federal Minister of State for Petroleum, Senator Mossadegh Malik, answered the question regarding the imposition of economic emergency in the country.
During the conversation with the media, the journalist asked Mossadegh Malik whether there is a financial emergency in the country. Responding to this, the Minister of State said that I am hearing this from you.
He further said that no economic emergency is being imposed in the country nor is it being thought of.
The Minister of State also said that there is no consideration regarding imposition of economic emergency at the government level.
He said that Pakistan has paid 1 billion dollars in sukuk bonds a few days ago while another 3 billion dollars is going to be rolled over.
On the issue of buying oil from Russia, Mossadegh Malik said that he will not face US sanctions for buying oil from Russia.
He said that PTI used to only talk about buying oil from Russia during its time, there are minutes of our talks with Russia.
The Minister of State further said that the discussion with Russia tells us, if someone says that Russia is not giving oil, then what can I say.
He said that the Russian delegation will come for talks on January 20, and will not face US sanctions for buying oil from Russia.
Mossadeq Malik said that whatever Imran Khan says by taking out the envelope becomes true, saying it in such an atmosphere does not make the agreement, if you want to believe Imran Khan’s words about buying oil from Russia, then you should also believe the envelope.
