The first EU-Balkans summit is underway in the country, outside which opposition supporters have gathered to protest.
Opposition leader Sally Berisha demands that Prime Minister Edi Rama resign and early elections be held.
Berisha was taking a rally with his workers to participate in the main protest when a man punched him in the face.
