4 people died of dengue virus in the last 24 hours in Punjab, the largest province of the country in terms of population.

2 people who died of dengue are from Lahore, 1 from Multan and 1 from Rawalpindi.

According to Secretary Health Punjab, after these 4 deaths, 30 deaths due to dengue have been reported in Punjab this year.

During the last 24 hours, 207 dengue patients were reported in Punjab, 97 from Lahore, 29 from Rawalpindi, 27 from Gujranullah, 20 from Multan, 8 from Sheikhupura, 5 from Sargodha, 3 from Sialkot and Jhang, 3 from Okara, 2, 2 from Vehari, Nankana, Toba Tek Singh, 1, 1 each from Mianwali, Bahawalnagar, Attock, Khanewal, Narowal, Muzaffargarh, Khushab and Leh.

Secretary Health Punjab also says that 16 thousand 198 dengue patients have been reported in Punjab this year, while 6 thousand 916 cases of dengue have been reported from Lahore this year.
