Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif will leave for a two-day visit to Egypt today.
In a statement issued in this regard, Federal Information Minister Maryam Aurangzeb says that the Prime Minister will participate in the COP27 conference in Sharm al-Sheikh on November 7. 197 member countries are participating in the conference.
Maryam Aurangzeb said that the need for action on climate change and climate justice will be considered in the conference. The Prime Minister will present Pakistan’s position on important issues at the World Leaders Summit.
The Minister of Information says that the Prime Minister will also meet the Secretary General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres, and participate in the Round Table Conference with the Norwegian counterpart Shehbaz Sharif, and also participate in the Middle East Green Initiative Summit on November 7. will
He said that the conference is being hosted by Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Muhammad bin Salman.
Maryam Aurangzeb has said that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will also meet world leaders during his visit.
The PML-N leader further said that Pakistan will continue to play a role in discussions, negotiations and collective action on climate change. will also discuss the threat to low-emission countries.
He also said that Pakistan will also chair the Group of 77 China in this conference.
