Federal Urdu University for Arts, Science and Technology Vice-Chancellor Dr. Azhar Ata is living abroad and things have started to deteriorate.
On Tuesday, along with the protest of non-teaching employees, Anjuman teachers have also started a protest, while the boycott of teaching matters has also been announced by the teachers.
In this regard, a general meeting of Abdul Haq Campus was held, in which it was decided that teaching in Abdul Haq Campus will be suspended from Tuesday, September 7, and classes will be boycotted until the demands are approved.
The teachers’ demands include timely payment of salaries and house sale, payment of three months house sale arrears, pay fixation, issuance of lecturer appointment names and completion of remaining selection board.
Meanwhile, the officials of Federal Urdu University Non-Teaching Employees Welfare Association (Abdul Haq Campus) visited all campus offices and tied black bands on the arms of the employees.
This movement of the employees has been started due to the ongoing financial crisis in Urdu University for the last two months and the consequent delay in payment of salaries and rental sales.
Also, the non-payment of this month’s salaries and rental sales despite the management’s promises is also the reason for starting this movement.
The Officers Welfare Association (Karachi) has also announced its support to this protest movement and has decided to become an active part of the movement.
According to a joint statement issued by the two associations, if the salaries and rental sales are not paid immediately, all legal means will be taken to pursue this movement and the movement will continue until the current financial problems of the employees are resolved. will remain
