Punjab: Death toll reaches 191 due to floods


The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) Punjab has said that the death toll due to floods across the province has reached 191.

PDMA Punjab has issued a report on the accidents and damages caused by floods in Punjab from June 15 to September 5.

Provincial Disaster Management Authority Punjab says that the flood has affected 667 thousand 603 people across the province so far.

According to the report of PDMA Punjab, the population of Rajanpur consisting of 2 lakh 46 thousand 933 people, the population of DG Khan consisting of 2 lakh 12 thousand 838 people and the population of Leh 1 lakh 75 thousand people have been affected by the flood. .

According to the Provincial Disaster Management Authority of Punjab, 148 incidents of buildings, walls and roof collapse have been reported in the province.

PDMA Punjab says that 31 cases of drowning and 7 cases of electrocution have occurred in the province.

Provincial Disaster Management Authority Punjab further says that 3 thousand 857 people have been injured in various accidents due to flood.

In the report of PDMA Punjab, it is also stated that 744 thousand 998 acres of land in various districts of Punjab have been damaged due to flood.
