The case of murderous attack on Chairman Tehreek-e-Insaf Imran Khan in Wazirabad could not be registered even on the third day.

According to police sources, the post-mortem of the dead body of Moazzam was done without registration of the case, registration of FIR is mandatory before post-mortem.

Sources said that due to the fact that the case was not registered, even though the accused was in custody, the arrest could not be made, the video statement of accused Naveed also affected the process of identification parade.

Police sources say that the video of the first day of the accused was leaked from Kunjah police station while the second was leaked from CTD. The accused Naveed was handed over to CTD on Thursday morning.

Sources say that if the case is filed by the CTD, it will be filed by the state, if filed by the local police station, then it will be filed by Imran Khan’s security chief.

It should be noted that on November 3, during the PTI long march, Imran Khan was assassinated in Wazirabad, in which the PTI chairman was injured.

One person was killed and 13 people including the PTI chairman and other leaders were injured in the incident.

The shooter was later caught near the container who also confessed to firing on Imran Khan.
