Karachi: Former SHO died after falling from police station stairs

A former SHO died after falling from the stairs of Madina Colony police station in Baldia Town area of ​​Kemari district of Karachi.

According to Superintendent of Police Baldia Captain Retired Faizan Ahmed, 56-year-old Police Inspector Shafiq Shah was posted in the Investigation Department of Madina Colony Police Station of Baldia Town.

He further said that Shafiq Shah was residing in the police quarters adjacent to the police station who suffered a stroke two years ago, but he could not fully recover.

On Monday evening, he was coming down from the police station stairs when he lost his balance and fell and died on the spot.

According to SP Faizan Ahmed, the body of the police officer was later taken to the civil hospital.

The deceased belonged to Azad Kashmir who had also served as SHO in a police station earlier.
