Arsalan Mehsud murder case: Police respite to submit challan

Karachi’s anti-terrorism court has given police until January 8 to file a challan in the Arsalan Mehsud murder case in a fake police encounter.

The case of killing of Arsalan Mehsud in a fake police encounter was heard in the anti-terrorism court. The challan of the case could not be submitted by the police.

The investigating officer of the case sought more time for submission of challan on which the court granted respite till January 8 for submission of challan. Three accused arrested in the case are in jail on judicial remand.

Among the accused are former SHO Azam Gopang, police officer Umair and Tauheed.

It is to be noted that the police had claimed to have killed Arsalan Mehsud in Orangi Town.
