Scientists have developed a new and highly effective vaccine for pregnant women that could significantly reduce the risk of life-threatening respiratory disease in babies before birth.

According to new results from a clinical trial of the vaccine, the vaccine reduces the chance of newborns being infected with the RSV virus by 82 percent in the first 90 days and by 69 percent in the first 6 months.

According to the vaccine manufacturing company, the application will be submitted to the relevant institutions by the end of the year for the international approval of the vaccine.
