The Rawalpindi Bench of Lahore High Court gave the verdict in the Murree tragedy case.
In its decision, the court said that the compensation should be increased for those who had martyred in the Murree tragedy.
The order said that sewerage, water and waste management system should be improved in Murree, illegal constructions and cutting of trees should be banned in Murree.
The court decision said that the Highway Department, Disaster Management Department and Rescue 1122 should be ordered to conduct an inquiry against those responsible for the tragedy.
The court directed the district administration to construct parking sites outside Murree, remove encroachments, regulate hotels and residential flats.
This year, 23 people were killed due to snow storm in the intervening night of January 7 and 8 in Murree.
