The Sindh High Court ordered sugar mills to run sugar mills in the province by November 30 by determining the price of sugarcane.
Sindh High Court in Karachi heard a petition related to setting sugarcane price and running sugar mills.
Acting Secretary Agriculture, Cane Commissioner, petitioner and lawyers appeared in the court.
The Cane Commissioner told the court that a meeting has been held between the sugar mills and the settlers on the issue of sugarcane price.
He further told the High Court that the second meeting in this regard will be held on November 10, in which the price of sugarcane will be fixed.
The Cane Commissioner asked the Sindh High Court for an extension till November 10, the court ordered sugar mills to be run by determining the price of sugarcane till November 30.
The court ordered that the price be fixed and the sugar mills run before November 30. The court adjourned the hearing of the petition for an indefinite period.
