The anti-corruption agency of Kazakhstan says that they have seized jewels worth 230 million dollars from the nephew of former president Nur Sultan.

The agency said in its statement that during the raid, very special and precious stones worth 23 million dollars were seized.

It should be noted that 82-year-old Noor Sultan was the country’s president from 1991 to 2019.

His nephew Satyabaldi was arrested in March this year, accused of embezzling the national telecommunications company.

In September, Satyabaldi was sentenced to six years in prison.

The anti-corruption agency added that their investment of $300 million abroad will soon be included in Kazakhstan’s budget.
