Heartbreaking scenes of the Taliban flogging female students outside a university in Afghanistan have emerged.
According to foreign media, Taliban officials in Afghanistan banned female students from entering the university and tortured them, the video of which went viral on social media.
According to the viral video, the Taliban official first stopped the female students from entering the university, then tortured the female students for not stopping and protesting for the right to education.
According to foreign media reports, the incident took place on Sunday outside the Badakhshan University in the Faizabad region of northeastern Afghanistan. In protest demonstrations, female students are raising the slogan of ‘access to education’ in large numbers.
In the above video, the official can be seen lashing the students.
In the next part of the video, dozens of female students are protesting at the gate of the university, asking the authorities for permission to enter the university, while the Taliban are chasing the government officials and forcing them to disperse.
However, the Taliban official took the stand that he was denied entry to the university for not wearing a burqa.
It should be noted that since assuming power in August last year, the Taliban has imposed severe restrictions on women’s movement, entertainment, expression, work opportunities and freedom of dress.
They have also stopped girls from going to school after the sixth standard.
