President Arif Alvi ordered an inquiry against the National Highway Authority (NHA) officials for non-payment of compensation to the victims in Sorab.
President Arif Alvi expressed indignation over non-payment of compensation to 23 victims of land acquisition for 4 years.
He has rejected the appeal of NHA against the decision of the Federal Ombudsman.
The President said that an inquiry should be held against those responsible for the delay in payment of compensation.
He said that the National Highway Authority should submit a compliance report within 30 days of receiving the order.
He further said that the NHA should tell why it did not comply with the orders of the ombudsman.
