Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ghulam Ali has written a letter to the Chief Election Commissioner after the terrorist incident in Peshawar and suggested consultation before giving the date of the election.
In his letter, Governor Ghulam Ali said that the law and order situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has become dangerous after the recent terrorist incidents.
He wrote in his letter that before fixing the election date, the Election Commission should consult with the law enforcement agencies and other relevant agencies.
The letter states that the Election Commission should take the relevant institutions and political parties into confidence so that the general elections can be conducted peacefully and transparently.
