The JIT investigating the murder case of journalist Arshad Sharif has returned to Pakistan.
Sources have said that the JIT went to Dubai on January 12, after a week of inquiry there, it left for Kenya. The team in Dubai took information about Arshad Sharif’s last days of meetings and contacts.
The JIT will prepare its report and submit it to the Supreme Court this week.
The 5-member Special JIT is headed by DIG Headquarters Owais Ahmed, comprising Deputy DG Sajid Kayani from IB, Grade 20 officer from ISI.
The Special JIT comprises Director Cybercrime Waqaruddin Syed from FIA, Mohammad Afzal from MI.
Apart from the above 5-member team, the investigating inspector of the case Muhammad Shahbaz was also with the team in Dubai and then in Kenya.
