Fisheries, an important foreign exchange earning sector of the country, has increased seafood exports by 13% in 6 months.
It is said that the main reason for this increase was the export of sea prawns to Saudi Arabia.
In this regard, Maritime Affairs Minister Faisal Sabzwari says that shrimp farming is a way to earn foreign exchange.
He said that we have given the policy framework. The law department is looking into it. Shrimp fetches high prices in the world market.
Faisal Sabzwari says that the policy framework will be a good tool to increase investment, employment, production and exports.
