Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan had a telephone call with Russian President Vladimir Putin and discussed the issue of withdrawing from the grain export agreement.

According to the news agency report from Ankara, the Turkish president said that he is trying to solve the problems of implementing the grain export agreement.

President Erdogan further said that there is an effort to solve the problems related to the agreement together with the parties. Cooperation can be done on the settlement of the grain export agreement.

It should be noted that earlier Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavus said that President Erdogan will talk to Russian President Putin and Ukrainian President Zelensky.

The Turkish Foreign Minister also expressed the hope that the issue of grain export agreement will be resolved. He said that the grain export agreement is beneficial for all.

It should be remembered that Russia withdrew from the grain export agreement from Ukrainian ports last week. The grain export agreement between Russia and Ukraine was brokered by the United Nations and Turkey in July this year.
