Shahid Afridi has resigned from the management committee of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).

It should be noted that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has approved the appointment of Najam Sethi as the Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board while removing Rameez Raja from the position.

It should be noted that in December last year, the Prime Minister of Pakistan and Pakistan Cricket Board Chief Shehbaz Sharif established a 14-member managing committee to run the affairs of the cricket board.

After the approval of the federal cabinet of the committee, the then chairman Ramiz Raja and his governing board were dismissed.

Later, it was decided to make former chairman Najam Sethi the chairman of the 14-member management committee.

Former captain Shahid Khan Afridi was also included in this committee who was made the chairman of the interim selection committee.

However, sources now say that Shahid Afridi has resigned from the membership of the management committee.

It should be noted that while talking to the media in Karachi a few days ago, Shahid Afridi said that as the chief selector, he did his job responsibly.

He also said that the chair of the chief selector is very strong and powerful, whoever comes here will have to take big decisions.
